Orbital is a student society which exists to bring together and support all first year students who live in Student Houses, partner halls, in private accommodation and at home. With around 1000 new members every year we are the biggest society at the University. We are run by a student committee elected solely by Orbital freshers at the time.

The society maintains strong links with the Students Union, though it is not formally affiliated to it allowing us to best use your membership fees and organise the most exciting events.
We send a representative to the Student Council meetings and have a very close relationship with the UoB Accommodation Office.

We organise events all year round, notably the amazing Freshers Fortnight and Christmas Ball. We are also responsible for running lots of successful sport teams.
