This year Orbital Rugby teamed up with University Hall to create a stronger squad and it worked as the team ran out winners of the intramural competition. Not only did the boys blow away the field within the university, they qualified for a national 10′s tournament and finished runners-up, playing the final at Twickenham no less!

Off the field it was a very good year as well, with a successful ’cultural awareness weekend’ to Lavia and many socials, even reaching as far as Cardiff.

The team is very welcoming and active, there is not the pressure that is experienced with university teams and that reflects in the enjoyment that all the players have got out of this last year. Also the skill level does not matter, in the past year there were 2 players who had never played before who ended up running out on the field of the home of English rugby.

This year has been a fantastic success and we look forward to making next year even better!
